Dr. Milan Đukić, MD, is a specialist in pediatrics with a subspecialization in cardiology

His areas of expertise include echocardiographic techniques, cardiac catheterization, transcatheter correction of congenital heart defects, and treatment of adults with congenital heart disease.

Dr. Đukić holds the position of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, in the Department of Pediatrics. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Serbian Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the European Association of Pediatric Cardiology.

His research activities primarily focus on tissue Doppler echocardiography and the application of new devices in the correction of congenital heart defects. He has been involved in various educational activities, including serving as a lecturer at the “Yu-echo” school and the Pediatric School of the Pediatric Section of Serbia.

Dr. Đukić has participated in several research projects, including studies on pulmonary hypertension, transcatheter closure of atrial septal defects, and the use of new devices in pediatric cardiology.

He has authored or co-authored 189 publications, with 12 of them published in journals indexed in SCI. Some of his notable works include research on the effects of carvedilol on left ventricular function in children with dilated cardiomyopathy, the correlation between hemodynamic values obtained through echocardiography and cardiac catheterization, and case studies on various congenital heart conditions.
